If your end points are not right on an RS100 motor, so the shutter runs too far up. Or stops at the bottom too early. Then you can adjust those points.

With the RS100 this is done in a different way, because you have to set the motor in the middle first.

With an Oximo RTS or IO, for example, you have to let it run all the way to the end point.

And that is not always possible, because if the roller shutter were to run too far upwards, damage could occur.

You don't want that and, as a result, you can then only reset the motor and then reset everything.

Much more work.

With the Oximo RTS and IO, adjusting is only possible if the end points are set manually, with the RS100 IO, adjusting is always possible.

You can let the IO and RTS roller shutter motors adjust themselves, which is very handy if you have stoppers on the bottom rail and rigid connections.

The disadvantage I find of that is that you can therefore no longer adjust the end positions yourself by going to the end point.

You then have to - if you want to adjust something - reset the motor completely and then reconnect the transmitter and set the endpoints again.

Very annoying when it could otherwise have been done in an easier way.

With the RS100 IO, adjusting is always possible.

So doesn't matter whether you set the endpoints manually or let the motor adjust itself.

Now for the steps.

Steps for setting the end points of the Somfy RS100 IO

Basically, you repeat part of the adjustment procedure.

  • The first step you take is to set the shutter in the centre.
  • Then you press the up and down button at the same time
  • The shutter will respond with up and down movement
  • Then you let the shutter roll to, for example, the bottom position
  • You have to hold the button down to let the roller shutter roll
  • If you hold the button down for some time, the roller shutter will continue to roll
  • Then release the button and press stop in time to stop the roller shutter
  • Preferably a little early, so that you can adjust it
  • if it is positioned correctly, press and hold the stop button until the shutter starts moving up and down.
  • When that happens, you can and should adjust the other position.
  • Again, run the shutter to its outermost position (and in this case, the upper one).
  • If the shutter is in the correct position, press the MY key until the shutter moves up and down 2 times.

The end positions are now adjusted and the procedure is completed. If this was not successful, or if you still have questions, please send an e-mail to info@tromm.com.
